Continue south to Ho Chi Minh City ( Saigon).

ITINERARY - January 20 to 30th 2022

Depart USA for Vietnam

Book your flight to arrive at Hanoi's Nội Bài International Airport on January 21, 2022 by noon, Group flight suggestion will be offered in May.

 


Day 1, January 21st - Welcome to Hanoi/ City Orientation and Welcome Mixer
Located on the banks of the Red River, Hanoi, nicknamed the “Paris of the East”is one of the most ancient capitals in the world. Though considerably quieter than big sister Saigon, Hanoi still retains a vibrant atmosphere. The historic heart, the 'Old Quarter' which it maintains its originality and authenticity is home to over 1000 years of trade, commerce and activity, with no signs of slowing down.   Hanoi offers a plethora of unique experiences that include: delicious cuisines, beautiful green boulevards, historical monuments, and colonial architecture. Vietnam’s capital city also serves as the gateway to the spectacular Ha Long Bay.

Day  2,  January 22nd - Hanoi

Today you will explore Hanoi on a special city tour that will include the One pillar and Perfume Pagoda, shrines of Vietnamese Buddhist, and the Old Quarter.  In the evening get your first taste of Vietnamese nightlife. 


Day 3, January 23rd - Ha Long Bay

Ha  Long Bay, Vietnamese Vinh Ha Long (“Where the Dragon Descends to the Sea”), known as the gift of the Mother Nature is a spectacular water garden dotted with 1,600 islands and islets  with pristine beaches, limestone caves, inland lakes, and floating villages.  You will spend the day floating this water wonderland. You will have time for optional Kayaking on just relax and take in the incredible scenery. One the stops will Thien Cung Cave.  

Thien Cung Cave also know as the Heaven Palace Cave, seen in the video above is considered the most beautiful primitive cave of the Bay. The huge cave is 25m above the sea level with an impression width of 10.000 square meters and unique structure inside with various stalactites and stalagmites in special forms and shapes.   According to legend, the cave was the ancient residence of the Dragon King and his beautiful bride, May.

Day 4, January 24th - Da Nang

Early morning boxed breakfast before heading to the airport for your flight for  Da Nang – The City of Bridges,  which is the halfway point between the capital in the north, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City in the south.  The coastal city is an example of Vietnam’s evolution. Once a sleepy seaside port,  Danang has transformed into a thriving, modern city with white sandy beach coastline.  Upon arrival, you will have a city tour that will include Linh Ung Bai But pagoda with the  Lady Buddha which stands almost 120 feet high and the largest in Vietnam  The day will end with dinner on the water front. 

 


Day 5, January 25 -  Ba Na Hills

Ba Na Hills is one of the newest and most exciting projects in Vietnam. It’s a mountain top resort complex that resembles a massive medieval castle. he Gothic-inspired buildings are nothing short of amazing. Walking around, you will have moment of thinking your are in France, but, in Vietnamese style.  You will visit a Wine Cellar and Le Jardin
D’Amour Garden
. There’s a 27-metre tall Buddha and the new addition of the now-famous Golden Bridge. Its giant hands holding the bridge itself, providing you with an unforgettable panoramic view of the valley below. The cable cars that get you from the bottom to the top at Ba Na Hills are a large part of the whole experience. They hold Guinness records for being “The longest non-stop single track cable car” and “The highest non-stop single track cable car.”   During the ride up, you will view landscapes of lush vegetation and the Toc Tien waterfall.  The day will be a good balance of guided tour and free time to explore alone or with your new friends.

The shape of the Golden Bridge looks like a woman holding a stripe of yellow silk with her hands. These two giant stone hands reaching out to heaven from Ba Na Mountain, like a ruin from ancient times. 

 


Day 6 - January 26 Tra Que and Hoi An

First stop today is Tra Que, known as the  Vegetable Village located in the countryside. What sets Tra Que Vegetable Village apart from its counterparts is the absence of any chemicals or harsh fertilizers used in the growing process. This means less harmful, fresher and cleaner produce to your table, ensuring you will only be consuming food the best of quality. Each morning the locals head to the lagoon and harvest special algae to assist with the growing of vegetables. This is truly one of the unique factors which make this Vegetable Village so special and  unlike anything you will taste in the world.  Get your hands dirty while harvesting produces for your meal.  After eating your prepared dish, ride a buffalo which is a .  Well, you KNEW there will be an animal ride somewhere on the tour.  lol.  Of course riding a buffalo is not mandatory.

Yes, buffalo!   Well, you KNEW there will be an animal ride somewhere on the tour.  lol.  Buffalo play an vital role in farming. Not many people know that buffalo contributed to the succeed of Vietnamese Revolution against foreign invaders. They have become a powerful symbol in Vietnamese culture.  Of course riding a buffalo is not mandatory.

Next float down the river in a fisherman's basket boats, or coracles as they are called, are handwoven boats along the central coast of Vietnam. The boat are woven from very young bamboo and then covered in tar or resin to waterproof the boat. Learning to actually steer one of these boats without just spinning around in circles does take some training and skill.

Your final stop for the day will be Hoi An (which translates to "peaceful meeting place"), is a coastal village set on the banks of the Thu Bon River. Although it is becoming increasing popular with tours, Hoi An managed to keep its old world charm and authenticity . Hoi An is one of the very few Vietnamese cities that was not damaged during the Vietnam War.  One of Hoi An’s primary charms is its lanterns.  Thousand of colorful lanterns hanging overhead around the village, adding a kaleidoscope of beauty to the sky.  Some of the shops will make custom lanterns from fabric you bring from home.  This exceptionally well-preserved trading port dating from the 15th still provides great shopping and incredible food. You will have free time to do both!

Day 7, January 27th - Da Nang  Free day

After six fun filled days, on the 7th day you can rest.   The day is your to explore on your own.  Make sure to get some rest,  you will need it!  :)

Day 8January 28th - Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Early transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh.  Unapologetically exhilarating and a little bit lawless, Ho Chi Minh City has flourished into one of the crown jewels of Southeast Asia.  With new skyscrapers constantly jockeying for the top spot, this city is bursting with development. Buildings, bars, restaurants and parks open at such an incredible pace that it can be hard to keep up. Upon arrival, you will have a city tour.

The  city tour this day will also include a visit to the underground  Củ Chi tunnels  that were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during the war with the United States.  The also serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters. In the evening get taste of Ho Chi Minh night life. 

 


Day 9January 29th Ho Chi Minh City 
The day is yours but early evening and beyond belongs to us!   ;-)

Day 10January 30th  Ho Chi Minh City to USA
Return to the USA.  Group airport transfer  to Tan Son Nhat International Airport
