Carpri and The Amalfi
The 2nd birth MONTH celebration.
As if Globalnista founder, Fleace Weaver starting her birth month in Ibiza and Mallorca was not enough! For those of you that could not get a spot on the Ibiza tour, you are invited to celebrate on her actual birthday on the Island of Capri, and the Amalfi coast. This will also be the 10 year reunion tour for our 2013 Bellas.
Capri's lush landscapes, dramatic cliffs and cobalt-blue waters create an atmosphere of pure luxury and indulgence. Its beauty has served as such a source of inspiration for poets, artists, and writers throughout history. The rich and famous are attracted to the Italian island paradise like a magnet. Annually, celebrities like Rihanna, Beyoncé and Jay-Z drop anchor of their maga yachts in the sea off the island coastline to soak-up the sun’s rays while taking a break from their demanding superstar lives.
Book your flight land at Naples International Airport (NAP) by 9 am on October 22nd. Book to depart NAP on after 6:00 PM on the 28th. You can also extend your stay and depart the morning of Sunday, October 29th, with arrival back in the USA the same day.
From the moment you step off the airplane you will be impressed, awe-struck and mesmerized. After a late afternoon check-in, meet the ladies arriving from the Ethiopia tour. You will have a Dubai orientation before preparing for your extraordinary New Year Eve celebration, starting with dinner, followed by watching the famous fireworks at the Burj Khalifa and then on to party into the new year.
Day 2 : October 22nd - Welcome to the Italy/Birthday Turn-up Duo
Capri is a secluded slice of paradise on the Mediterranean coast. This fabled fantasy island evokes glamour, high fashion, multi-million pound yachts and a Dolce Vita lifestyle.
Fleace and her local friends on the island in hidden coves and beautiful beaches, where the water shimmers like a mirror and reflects the colours of an endlessly blue sky.
On arrival, you will be transffered to the port of Naple for a boat to the island of Capri for hotel check-in. After check-in, zigzag around the cliffs with magnificentt sea views to Anacapri. At the top, enjoy a special themed welcome/birthday brunch.. After brunch, return to the hotel, to relax or indulge yourself in the spa offerings. Later, enjoy night #1 of the birthday turn-up.
Day 3: October 23rd
After breakfast, set sail for the Blue Grotto, a natural sea cave in the side of the mountain, 60 meters long and 25 meters wide, and can only be reached by squeezing through a narrow mouth, two meters wide, at water level.
At sea, transfer to board a rowboat for entry into the cave. The natural three-feet entry is so low that you will be required to lay back while your Caprese captain pulls the boat into the hole. No matter how many videos or photos you have seen, nothing can prepare you for surreal experience of visiting the grotto in person. Return to Capri Town, the Mediterranean at its most chic. Wander the narrow cobbled streets and piazzette (small squares) lined with designer boutiques, bars and restaurants and celebrity hunting Paparazziaparazzi hang in windows. For the shoppers, bring your good credit card. Capri has its own unique style when it comes to clothing, accessories, and jewelry. Here you can purchase custom-tailored Capri pants or handmade jewelled Capri sandals.
For those of you that know Fleace ... you already know! Make sure you relax before the evening birthday festivities! Yes, there will be a theme! :)
Day 4 : October 24th - Sorrento
After two nights of celebrating, sleep-in and savor your last hours on the Island of Capri at a relaxing pace. Mid-afternoon, transfer to Sorrento, the gateway leading to the Amafi Coast and the land of the sirens tales and lemon groves. After check-in, the brithday/month celebration continues a walking tour and tasting of different variations of lemoncello. Relax a bit before another special evening, starting with a wine sip while watching a magnificent sunset or the bay.
Day 5 : October 25th - Sorrento
Cooking and eating together remain an irreplaceable pillar of Italian culture. For Italians, meals with family are like comforting blankets that wrap everything in life together in loving warmth and security. Today you will experience authentic Italian family life at a cooking class held in a multi-generation family villa, After, enjoy family dinner with lots of storytelling, laughter and homemade wine . This family is like family to Fleace and you will taste and feel the love.
Day 6 : October 26th - Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi, a 30-mile stretch of spectacular mountainous coastline filled with luxury villas overlooking the scintillating turquoise sea. Your first stop of the day will be the stunning town of Ravello, perched on the slopes of the Lattari Mountains, 365 meters above the sea. Ravello. Ravello is not literally on the Amalfi Coast, but definitely worth seeing. During the stop, you will visit Villa Rufolo, built in the 13th century by Nicola Rufolo a wealthy merchant. Next, the crown jewel of the Amalfi, Positano. Positano is famed for its opulence that channels old money/generational wealth . It is not a bling, but low-key luxe.
Day 7 : October 27th - Naples
Early morning, say goodbye to Sorrento as you transfer to Naples, the capital of Campania region and n the sits midst of two volcanic areas, the Phlegraean Fields and Mount Vesuvius. In route to Naples, you stop at Pompeii. In the year 79 AD Mount Vesuvius erupted and buried the ancient Roman cities of Pompeii under volcanic ash. The ruined city remained frozen in time until it was discovered by a surveying engineer in 1748. The tour will be lead by our favorite guides who has been known to cause his own eruption among our ladies. :) Continue on to Naples for the hotel check-in. Later, have a city tour including Piazza del Plebiscito with the Royal Palace of Naples. No trip to Naples is complete without devouring a Pizza Napoletana or Calzone and we know where the BEST in the city can be found. End your final evening with one of Fleace's favorite drinking games. Well, it is her birthday! ;-)
Day 8 : October 28th
The morning until mid-day is yours to explore Naples with a cup of gelato or granita. At 3pm, share heartfelt hugs with your Global family before the group airport transfer for flight home or to another part of the world.
