ITINERARY

This tour is so HOT, we had to add an extra day to fit it all in.

Milan

As is the case with many of Italy’s great cities, Milan plays host to some stunning architecture and magnificent works of art. Perhaps as importantly, you could argue that Milan is the financial and fashion capital of Italy. It’s home to the country’s stock exchange and is the place where many of the country’s wealthiest people congregate. It also has been a hub for fashion and design for centuries. Some cities have beautiful people and other cities have people with money, Milan has BOTH!

Whether you come for the culture,  to window shop, or shop until you drop, you will live your best life rubbing elbows with the Milanese who's who in unique shops and hidden courtyards. Don't worry, if your style is more on the bargain side, get upcoming trends and ideas from designer shops and head to outlet centers. Fleace will also direct you to stylish yet more affordable boutiques that will still have you on-trend.

Day 1 - Depart USA (book your own flight to Milan and out of Pisa - Arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) by 11:00 am on the 26th.  Flight suggestions will be sent after receiving deposits.

Day 2, Aug 26th - Milan - Welcome lunch/WalkingTour/Mixer
WELCOME TO MILAN! Upon arrival, you will transfer as a group by private deluxe motorcoach to your hotel where you will have time for a quick change before your walking tour that will start with a metro lesson and tour orientation lunch (included in the package). After lunch, a metro orientation as you you explore Milan with your local guide, starting with the stunning Cathedral Duomo di Milano, Sforzesco Castle, and Arco della Pace (arch of Peace). You will then visit one of Fleace's favorite happy hour locations before returning to the hotel. Later, you will have dinner with the girls and your first night of mixing and mingling in Milan.

 

Day 3, Aug 27th - Start includes a visit to the Vertical Forest and Cimitero Monumentale with its incredible outdoor gallery of sculptures from a number of notable Italian sculptors, which marks the importance of the wealthy and famous in Milan from the 18th century until the mid-1900s.  After lunch, it is time to Charrrrrrge it! Eat enough to energy to experience designer shopping or window shopping in Milan. If shopping is not your thing, the remainder of the afternoon is yours to explore.   Tonight be ready to party!

Day 4, Aug 28th -  Early morning you are off to Switzerland, returning in time for dinner and another evening of fun.  Sleep, what's that?  Sleep on the train ride to Florence the next day.  :)

Day 5, Aug 29th  Early morning you will be off to Florence, home of the Italian Renaissance and capital of the Tuscany region. On arrival, you will have a walking tour followed by walking tour and free time in the center of Florence at the famous open-air market known for incredible leather goods. If you are a culture vulture, visit the Accademia to see Michelangelo's David. Foodies, grab an outdoor table to sample seasonal Tuscan cuisine.   The evening will be spent under the Tuscan stars filled with music and food.

Day 6, Aug 30th -  Free day or Optional Venice Day trip. What better way to sleep off a night of partying than to sleep on the train to VENICE! No words can truly prepare you for the beauty and uniqueness of Venice. Venice is one of Italy's most beautiful and romantic cities, built on the water in a lagoon with small, motorized traffic-free streets along the winding canals. It actually consists of 117 bodies of land connected by more than 400 bridges over its 150 canals. Upon your arrival, you will meet your local guide and take a water bus to Piazza San Marco (St. Marks) to start your walking tour. After the tour, you will have time for lunch on your own. You may also choose to explore the water wonderland and/or enjoy a gondola ride through the scenic canals. At a designated time and place, meet the group for your return to Florence.

Day 7, Aug 31th - Early morning, grab your luggage and head to Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower before continuing on to the Island of Elba for special welcoming activities.

 

Day 8, Sept 1 - Island of Elba - after the last 8 days, its time for some much-needed R&R on the beach day and special evening with local friends.

Day 9, Sept 2 - Island of Elba - Free day or optional boating day.

Day 10, Sept 3- Ferry and train to Pisa - book your departure flights for after 1pm.
